Atlas Home Energy selected to be participating contractor in the Power Saver Retrofit Program!
Atlas Home Energy will once again work with the Frederick County Office of Sustainability and Environmental Resources to help implement the 2015 Power Saver Retrofit Program. This will be the third implementation of the Power Savers Program, which is designed to provide energy saving home improvements to 120 moderate- and low-income households. Atlas has been fortunate enough to participate in all three iterations of the Power Savers Program providing energy audits and energy efficiency upgrades to help Frederick county residents reduce their energy consumption and save money on their energy bills. The 2015 Power Savers Program is once again funded through a grant from the Maryland Energy Administration.
Through the grant, homeowners can receive up to $8000 in energy efficiency improvements. Eligible improvements include attic, wall, basement and crawlspace insulation; whole house air sealing; duct sealing; major appliance replacements; furance, air conditioner and water heater replacements; and up to $1000 to fix health and safety related issues. Homeowners must meet income eligibility requirements but are not required to co-finance any of the improvements. You can read more information about the program and how to participate on Frederick County’s website here.
Atlas will be able to provide a wide variety of energy efficiency improvements such as Air sealing, Insulation, and Duct Sealing through our in house weatherization staff. For HVAC and water heater replacements available through the grant, Atlas will partner with Holtzople Heating and Cooling and TriState Home Services.
The Atlas staff is looking forward to working with even more homeowners throughout Frederick County and to help with state wide energy saving goals!
